I get 32 New Challenge Points,not bad for low Power.

Best New band point was VP8PJ a New one on ssb

number # 338 on ssb,only miss 3D2-Fiji and XF4-Revilla G.

Fun contest,will take part NeXT year for sure.

Contest is over, fun it was...
Nice to have some sun spot's again.
Aurora was also back..band closed early on 15 and 20 mtr.
10 mtr have some spotty opening's up here.
VK6LW was s7 for 45 min hr..but no qso..
Missed a lot of easy/nearby mults. Had one run (60 q's), rest was S&P.
Limited antennas, vertical for 10-15-20 ,Dipole for 40.
GP fullsize for 80 (4 elevated rads) and sloper for 160.
Not much DX worked only 156 qsos and 127 was USA's.
Did not hear a single *JA* station,band was closed to the far east..
Best 'DX' band for me was 40 mtr..KH6-FM-KP2-KP4-PJ4-TI-ZF in log.
Good qso score of LB6GG also 1754 q's, great number On low Power,
I think he run wire's antennas also...
LN8W over 10k q's...great...a safe/trusty Norway mult on low bands.
Hat's of for TI7W and ZF1A 11800 and 11200 q's are Madnes for a single Op.
But it's a lot of great cw op's out there, hardcore qso's machines..
OOppss my qso goal was to make 1500 q's, did not make it...due to a
good long sleep into the sunday morning...

More to the story....

I work a lot, I'm not a Young boy ..

This year I was taking free from work on Friday

before the contest, sleep till about 7 o'clock on Friday morning.

For a time ago, I was buying a new computer .

So on Friday morning I started to set up the computer for

the radio stuff, I use MK2 from Microham and loaded

the microham device into the computer, every thing ok.

Then Ooppss I had forget to pay the licence fee for the

log program... I like the log program from DL7UCX..

(no licence only 200 q's I think) I had an old

Version of this program, when it was free... but

after my computer crash in august i have no log program.

Well I have SD-log it's free and fully open.

But I prefer UCX-log....

So I sent the fee early on Friday morning and thanks

god and DL7UCX for quick respons.

I get the licence key and everything was up and running.

So everything was ok...I think.....

Testing antennas...80 mtr was dead...

Checked the choke balun, uuhh full of ice..

It's was Cold this morning -8 C.

The result ,Cold body, pain head and nose.

Paracet and relax on sofa, wife say to me...

I think you have Corona...go other room..stay outside..

Thank you my sweet wife...Nice Words..I love you to..

One hour before contest started I was OK again.

Contest ended OK I think

A good result on this smal antennas,for sure.

My qth at 60* North.
Not easy to make any qso at all.
My goal was 500 qso's....made it.
830 qso's total,a kind of madness with my set-up.
410 q's on GP7DX vertical (10-15-20)
Fun to se 10 mtr open,also happy to make 120 Q's on 80 mtr.
That's more ssb q's on 80 mtr than I have in my last 15 years.
Conds was not the best, mainly EU's in log.
I felt the band was closed to the east and to the west.
Thanks god it's a lot of activity from South Europe
Sunday was better than saturday.
Worked only one *JA* station in the contest (20 mtr)
North Americans only a handful of them also in the log.
Next one will be CQ WW DX CW....cu in the contest...

during the 11 1/2 hour I was qrv...restart..restart again.

Monday after the contest I was going to the computer

shop and I was buying a BRAND new one.

Only qrv on sunday morning.Due to work on saturday.
First time with a new logging program.
Started on cq on 80 mtr 0612z,what a mess...
Lot's of callers,fresh meat on the band ,I was not ready
for this,cw skimmer's read my Call and skimmers op's clicked
on it and a continious calling started, after 4 min.11 call's
in log, in this 4 minuts I have to restart my log 1 time.
After qso nr.3 with LY2CX everything locked down...
Fired up again...look's ok,moved to 40 mtr had a very good run
there for some time,but after 197 qso's the log start to lock
down again,this happen about 10 times during 30 q's..after 226 q's
I get message disc error....so closed everything and was thinking..
no more sac test for me...but started up again. and get disc error
message again...loaded the microham router again then the logging
program and everything looks ok and that it was,no more problem
for the NeXT 267 qso's...so cross my fingers and will run this logger
in the NeXT cqww cw test..thanks to all that called me...many familiar
Call sign from previous SAC contest..Hope see all of you NeXT year...
Maybe I can do a 20 hours test NeXT year...and end up with 1500 q's..
Best 60 minutes rate 121....average rate 90 q's/hour..
Conds was just average...similar to 2019 I think..
GP7DX vertical antenna Works great on 20 mtr.
Dipole North/South on 40 mtr....
Optibeam 11-5 still locked to 45* east...
No rotor change this summer either..
I'm to LAZY....Still looking for a New qth

after 240 qso's the computer closed down

and I was not able to restart it..

Actualy it restart again and again and again

in an never ending restart loop.....

Lost 130 qso's from SARTG ww Rtty contest also.

But no problem ,new computer is in house..

Microham device talks to radio and log-program.

Back in business....

Worst is..

Many Points lost in the National HF-cup also.

Nice contest, lot of Activity,lot's of station's to work.
Early in the week I was starting to do some work on my house.
Changing the outside panel on my North wall of the house.
This wall have all the cable's/wires for my antennas and switch boxes.
So it was a late start in the contest for me 2045 gmt,so to tired to work
anything at all...so I started 0642 gmt sunday morning with a Clear head.
My goal was 1000 q's....ended up with 473...so goal not reached....
Was some nice short skip propagation to Scandinavia and to the baltic's.
Not much dx worked....NeXT one for me RRTC contest NeXT weekend...CU..

This year I say to my self,why not take part in All Asia CW-test.
Since my yagi is locked to about 60* degrees,
it will be perfect to try to work some Asian stations.
So between garden work and tv watching I spent some hour's in
this test this year, personal best score for me this year.
Worked more Japan station on 20 mtr this weekend ,than I have
worked the last three years,so I think the conds was ok...
Best qso was 9V1YC on 15 mtr and XU7AEY on 20 mtr...very happy
dxcc #185 and #186 this year for me, not bad on low Power...

He was sending QSY QSY Rtty not allowed...but he sent Rtty also.
He also sent my callsign severals times, try to help me with the
callers.. I think your life must be very boring...nothing else to do??

Great weekend,ham radio contesting at is best.
Great activity, had hoped for full 36 hours for
me in the contest, but I started late on saturday
about 06:30 gmt, due to some flue symptoms.
Put up a new full size vertical on 80 mtr on thursday
before the contest, worked great,was tired before the contest.
But stayed in the seat for 30 hours,not much dx worked.
Yagi is locked to 80 degrees east,on 10-15-20 i worked
about 720 qsos on my vertical *GP7DX* antenna,my mults are down
due to this, mostly eu qso's worked, need to get my yagis to work again.
Was amazed about how good shape 10 and 15 mtr was, so I spended a
lot of time there,result i missed some qsos on 40 mtr,many 2 pointers lost.
Should have made at least 600 qsos on 40, but i feel i had a lot of
fun on de other bands, so it make up for my mistake's...
The bands was crowded to the end, 20 and 40 was full till the last minut.
Not much dx worked, but this is a prefix contest...and prefix we have
a lot of in EU...I think we have 50% about the contesters in the world also..

My set up for the contest was:

FTdx5000 set to 100 watt. ( I love this radio)
Antenna: 10-15-20 GP7DX vertical up 10 mtr,720 qso's
Antenna: 10-15-20 Optipbeam 11-5 (so pity cant turn it) 140 qsos
Antenna: 40 Optibeam 40-30 Dipole (can not turn,buhuu my self)
Antenna: 80 20 mtr vertical with 4 elevated rads. (My Tumb up for this)
Antenna: 160 slooper from Tower

So a big thank you to all of you that heard my tiny signal.
Maybe my log check report will take me hard,I was running the whole
contest without head phones....my cat like my head phone much..I think..
he had eated up the silicon cable on it, so I hope he get saturated..
Lesson learned ..give him more food...when he say..Miiiauuuu....
Have a great summer to all of you...wife is still Corona stucked in here
orginal country...so I have a lot of time to spend in the radio
so I hope to see some of you again in contests...CW is king...

NEW VERTICAL 80 MTR

Put up a new vertical for 80 mtr band this evening.

22 mtr high, 4 radials elevated at 2 mtr over ground.

So hope it work OK I'm ready for CQ WPX CW contest

this weekend....SOABLP....my goal at least 1000 qsos..

**THE BIG ONE FOR ME IN 2020**

Yes indeed..... I needed this one on Phone mode...

I only have #337 confirmed on Phone mode..

and YES a big YESSS I did it # 338 in log Phone mode..

Made a qso on 17 mtr Phone, not easy with low

power and a vertical, already confirmed on LOTW.

On Phone mode I only miss 3D2-Fiji and

XF4-Revilla Gigedo ,Fiji should be easy but have my doubt

about the other one....but would have been Nice

to have them all on ssb/phone mode....

Not bad....look carefully..no qso on 20 mtr...

I'm so Lucky to have a neighbor that buy the cheapest

led lamps that you can find on ebay...Have a s 9 noise on 20 mtr

the most of the time, very difficult to make any qso at all on

that band, so I miss South Orkney on 20 mtr still.

In 2011 VP8ORK was qrv, i did not like their work style at all.

Only made 1 qso with them on 40 mtr cw, so I was realy

happy when I made the 1st qso with VP8PJ 40 mtr FT8

Not new band but new mode ,I made this qso on the

4th day they was qrv, smal guns must wait till the big amp's guy

have made theirs 1st qso and I think after they make some dupes also...

Opps i make a dupe qso also 17 mtr FT8...

They made a great show 83782 qsos and 20521 unique calls in log.

They was Activ from 23.February to 6. March 2020.

I get 3 New bands, 2 New modes and to my surprise 80 mtr FT8 qso.

On FT8 I'm running 100 watts from my Icom-706....amazing mode FT8.

the PC-screen......and the Earth is flat.....

The sun is sleeping.....

The first 130 days of 2020 ,the sun have been

free for sunspots 100 days.

In 2019 we had about 280 days without sunspot.

At my qth at 60* North the band are realy weak,

seldom open from 21 Mhz and up...

They say that this solar cycle 25 will be very weak.

They say it will be similar to cycle 24,with peak in

July 2025 +/- 6 months let's hope thay are right...

But I have my doubt...in cycle 24 i worked about

225 dxcc on 10 mtr...so it is hope...

That will be ok, since it's very fun when 10 mtr is open.

Have been some sporadic E in May, but the signal

is weak and with a lot of qsb at my Qth.

But hopefully during the summer month's it will

be ton's of station to wok on 10 and 6 mtr.

9J2LA DX FLASHBACK #3 MARCH

9J2LA was Activ from 5 to 15 March-

Mostly Norwegian radio op's.

Qso's confirmed on LOTW , I needed 20 mtr

for my dxcc on that band, worked 9J2AM for

many years ago, but have stopped sending qsl Cards

to ARRL via snail mail, and I have a lot of shoe boxes

with qsl cards to look through...to much work to find again....

Tryed for many days to work them on 20, finaly the

op on 20 answer my call,this op had good ears because

the signal was way down but happy to see my call in the log.

My qso's :

CW: 15-20-30

FT8: 30-40

SSB: 17

They made 35451 qso's 593 to Norway.

Good qso number , 9 Ops it look's like.

I dont like this type of qsl-card front ,looks like a

family event...It dosent look like Zambia...

I think they not like to sell qsl card...

I think low Activity from EA stations .
In other Word i dont work many EA's....
Spend some time to Call cq on 10 and 15 mtr
but the propagation did not open to 60* North.

URE 70th. ANNIVERSARY 2019

I forget this one, must have been the bigest event

in the history of Ham Radio, when I think about Activity....

Last year it was the 70th. Anniversary of the

Spanish Radio Amateur Leaque.

They was Activ for 70 days, started 1 April 2019.

They made 1196359 qso's (big#) 92713 Unique call' in log

and 254 Dxcc countries, a amazing S.E.S.

It was 14 diffrent AM70 Calls to collect + Call area 6-8-9

I made 148 qsos to AM70 Stations and 12 to AM70URE/6-8-9

A total of 160 qso's. I remember i had problem to contact

Call area /9 (Ceuta and Melilla)

They made 6987 qso's to Norway and 681 Unique Norwegians in log.

Amazing...that's big # for Norway...

IARU 95th ANNIVERSARY

Radio hams from Spain celebrate the 95th. Anniversary of Iaru.

They made 525999 q's and 59694 unique calls into 220 Dxcc countries.

I made 148 q's, they made 2486 q's to Norway, 409 unique Calls.

Was a fun event to take part in, in this covid-19 times.

All dx-pedition's are cancelled, so this one was spot on

if you like to break pile-up's....well done boy's.

5I4ZZ-5I5TT DX FLASHBACK #4 FEBRUARY

Italian Dx Team was also activ from Tanzania in February.

They was activ from 4 Feb. to 18 Feb.

As I have mention before,this is one of my favorite

dx-peditions team,after the big guns have filled their's slot

the smal guns get a great chance also......

They made 47301 qso's ,I made 10 qso's with them.

CW:17-20-30 SSB: 20-40 FT8: 17-20-30-40-160

New one on 160 mtr, the only band i was missing Tanzania on.

Strange qso since i was calling TT8SN on 160 mtr.

Both station was only some Hertz from each other

and i was calling TT8SN because I just had worked him

on 80 mtr FT8 and his signal was stronger, so I think my best

change was to work *TT* but the op at 5I4ZZ grabbed

my callsign and the soft-ware and my computer did the rest.

Woow it's easy when you can do FT8 mode...

A big thank you to the op att 5I4ZZ I Owes you a big beer..

They have announced their NeXT dx-pedition will be to Chad.

I need Chad *TT* on 160 mtr ,the only hf-band i need them....

So I cross my fingers that you will have good rx-antennas .

And hopefuly I will have my big vertical up again...

I think the qrn level down there are big.........

(many cheap led lamps and switch mode power supplys)

They made 51616 qso's I made 15 Qso's 6 band 3 modes.

They made 461 qso's to Norway.....great number...

I missed 160 mtr,but no Amp here,but have it cnfm on 160 mtr.

a multi National team,but most member from

Slovakia, they made 30105 qso's and 167 qso's to Norway.

I made 11 qso's 5 band 3 modes,more than happy.

Impressive score/qso's since the Iatlian dx team also was qrv

from the same spot *DXCC* great op's from Slovakia.

They broke the Magic 30000 qso's line,that's very good..

TU5PCT was qrv from 22 Feb. to 1 Mars.

It was a Czech radio team that was on.

They made 29365 qso's ,great number only 4 Op's.

They made 205 Qso's with Norwegin hams.

I made 9 qso's ...sorry 1 dupe on 30 mtr FT8...

They was running multi stream on FT8...not F/H.

This is ok, but some times not trained/lid's op's is

calling direct on the stream and it is imposible

to se if you get the final73's
