VP6D Ducie Island.

Had some bad feeling for this dx-pedition.
It is in wrong direction for my antennas since I
haven't changed my broken rotator, 5 bands beam is to east
and my rotable dipole for 30/40 mtr is facing south-north.
Worked them on 40 mtr cw this morning..look at the
Photo, *DXA* a exelent tool and fun to see that you are in the log.
My signal was way down since Ducie is on the tip of my dipole.
But great to be in the log,thank you guys.
After 96000 qso's.....I made it.

This is from my 2nd qso.

Made with my vertical Antenna GP7DX and barefoot radio.

The band was 17 mtr and the mode was cw.

Amazing qso ,since  I have no amplifier and the qrb is 15000 km.

New one for my DXCC challenge award.

No more hunting for VP6D for me, pity for me ....no RTTY qso.

I don't work FT8 mode, love real ham radio mode.

Only qrv some hours sunday morning.
The problem with my neighbors led lamps is solved.
I can work on ssb also...happy ham life again.
It's hard to find a frequency when you run small Power
and a vertical...beam still locked to the east..
Lets hope for some more sun spots till NeXT year..
I allways check dx-summit for Norwegian spot's after a contest.
One Norwegian Op spotted him self With his home country callsign (boat refuge)
Another one made 10 fake spot for him self on DX-Summit.....

Have been  qrt since April this year.
My new neighbor put up some led's lamps inside his house
around easter time, they created noise from 6 mtr to 40 mtr
S9+20dB...Ooohh my good ..no more hamradio from this qth...
I can say...I DONT LIKE BOAT REFUGES WITH LED LAMPS FROM CHINA..
But it ended good...I think...for 14 days ago he changed some
of the led-lamps and the noise Level disappeared...I had started
to take down my antennas because I was looking for a new qth.
Had a offer on a great new qth with perfect take-off..with terrain
drop all around the house....but a new problem started...my wife !!
denied to move....She say! divorce ore ham-radio! I say to her ..I'm old
i like ham-radio...she say ok..no problem give me 100000 Euro...

I think again....I must try some hours in the SAC CW test...
I put up again a wire for 80 mtr on thursday...
I had started to take down some of my antennas this summer.
Woowwww the noise Level was ok from my neighbor he had changed
some more of his led-lamps, and I was qrv again with ok RX...
I was qrv 11 hours ...made 793 q's ..With a normal attempt
I could easy made 1200 q's this weekend in the sac-test..I think.
The conds was much better than in 2017 but only heard OH's on 15 mtr.
My qth is very good when I have no led lamps in the rx...So thanks to all
who answered my cq test Call....NeXT one is cqww rtty.....CU..

Long time since I have some posting.

Have been qrt for about 5 months.

My new neighbour put up some Chinese led -lamps

that killed my radio,they produced some S 9 + noise

from 7 MHz to 50 Mhz ...A difficult  situation.

But he finaly changed some of the lamps and I

hope I will be qrv again.....

The antennas on SJ9WL and LG5LG went down

In August , was some windy days this month.

This station is placed on the borderline between 

Norway and Sweden, if you like  you can operate

from this station...they have a booking system on

their homepage.......but you have to wait a while..

They will put up new antennas soon...they say.
