CONTEST CALLSIGN NORWAY LC # #

Good news for the Activ contesters in Norway.
From NeXT year (2018) Norwegian radio hams can get a 2x1 callsign.
It will be like LC1A..LC1B..LC1C and so on.
If i understand it correctly it will only be the LC serie of qrz's
But this is good News, Rumors have been for this some times
but finally I read about this in the Norwegian ham radio Magazine #6/17.
It will be the national ham radio League (NRRL) that will
assign the Licenses. (valid for 5 years) after this you can
renew for 5 more years.  I think it's a blue copy of the system
they have in Sweden (SSA) A good Christmas present from NRRL and NKOM.
The photo of the Young lady is from the 60's..she must have been on from a HOT spot..

MERRY CHRISTMAS

CQ WAZ AWARD via LOTW

Amateur Radio operators will be able to use LoTW logs to generate lists of confirmed contacts to be submitted for WAZ credit. Standard LoTW credit fees and separate CQ award fees will apply.
Implementation, documentation, and internal testing of the link between LoTW and WAZ is complete. ARRL and CQ are now assembling a team of external “beta testers” to assure that the link is ready for widespread use. A separate announcement will be made when LOTW’s support for CQ WAZ is available to everyone.

Great qso # from a 2 man dx-pedition,they closed the operation on 12 November.
Their qso rate have been very high often over 200 q's pr hour.
Very VERY good, not often we se this from radio expeditions.
They worked about 76000 qso's, great team/result.
I worked them on 12-15-17-30-40 cw  and 30 mtr Rtty.
One New bandpoint 40 mtr cw and a New one on Rtty mode # 264
Hope to hear you on the air again from another
semi-rare spot.....

They have realy set the pace for other dx-pedition.
This 2 guys made more qsos than other dx-pedition With 6 to 8 guys...
Often we se radio expedition have qso rate from 40 to 80 q's pr hour.
Sometimes I Wonder...why in hell havent you trained Your cw-skil
before you go on dx-pedition...you spend a lot of Money, and can't
work the pile-up.......

3C0L Annobon Island

Where is Annobon Island ??
Two Latvian radio hams was activ from this radio country in October.
The Island belong to Equiateriotal Guinea, but it count as it own
country in the ham radio world, not so much activity from this part
of the world,I think many needed this one on morse code...cw...
From 13 to 25 October they made 32448 qsos, mostly on cw
A great effort of YL2GM-Yuris and YL3AIW-Kaspars.
Great cw from this 2 guys, my hat of for this operation.
